What is the Bowdler attack?
The Bowdler attack is a variant, that white can play, when white plays the kings opening and black plays the Sicilian defense. The PGN for the Bowdler attack is 1. e4 c5 2. Bc4.
Qf3 variant with a plan for Bf7 or Qf7.
White often plays Qf3 to attack the f7 and force blacks king to walk. Black should respond with e6. White can no longer continue with plans for reaching f7 with Bf7 or Qf7. The PGN of variant is 3. Qf3 e6.
